Rumors are running rampant of edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney potentially being traded out of the Houston Texans. But, head coach Bill O'Brien isn't aware of it.

When asked on if he was aware of the trade rumors, O'Brien gave a simple answer; as previously reported on Texans Wire.

“No, not at all.”

Does he want to share his thoughts on the situation?

“Nope.”

Houston placed the franchise tag on Clowney early in the offseason with hopes to sign him to a long-term deal. That didn't quite work out for the three-time Pro Bowler and the Texans, as when the deadline to do passed (July 15th), Clowney was still on the franchise tag; which he hasn't signed, in turn, not forcing him to attend training camp.

O'Brien is unsure on when Clowney will show up to training camp (if he does). He said on NFL Network's “Good Morning Football,” on Tuesday, per NFL.com,

“I don’t know. I really don’t [on when Clowney will report]. I know he’s working hard. He’s out there working out, he’s in shape. He’s doing everything he needs to do to be ready to play. But ultimately that’s up to him. When he wants to show up, he’ll show up, and he’ll be ready to go. He’s a professional. When that happens, we’ll move forward with that. But I have no idea when he’ll be here. I can’t predict that.”

All O'Brien does know, at this point, is that Clowney hasn't been traded, nor is he under contract.
