Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is now regarded as one of the best wide receivers in NFL history after gaining 8,000 receiving yards. He needed help from Brandon Weeden and Brock Osweiler, among others.

To make his achievement all the more impressive, Hopkins is the third-fastest to reach this landmark, only coming behind legendary names such as Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald.

He was honored to be in such an exclusive club and gave praise to the two players ahead of him.

Per John Hickman of Texans Wire:

“That means a lot,” Hopkins said. “Those two guys that are in front of me, they’re going down with the yellow jackets.”

However, he knows that he didn't reach this achievement alone. There have been plenty of QBs he caught balls for since being drafted 22nd overall in the 2013 Draft. He gave credit to Brock Osweiler and Brandon Weeden for helping him get this far.

“I’ve got to thank the quarterbacks that’s helped me get over 8,000 yards because I can’t throw the ball to myself. Even the Brock Osweilers, the Brandon Weedens, I got to thank those guys, honestly. Y’all might laugh, but I can’t throw the ball to myself.”

This is a touching gesture from the team's first-choice wideout. The Texans have always been struggling to find the perfect quarterback. It does seem like they finally found their man in Deshaun Watson, but he still needs to be consistent with his throws. Moreover, teams are looking to acquire him via trade. However, Texans fans can relax as it seems like they're not looking to offload their star wide receiver.

Texans fans are happy with his achievement and hope that DeAndre Hopkins can take it to new heights with the team.
