Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson played his heart out in Week 3, nearly defeating the New England Patriots in Foxborough. He finished with 301 yards on 22-of-33 passing and two touchdowns.

That wasn't the only display of greatness that the 22-year-old demonstrated this past week. On Wednesday, the Texans' team Twitter page shared a video of the former Clemson standout giving his first game check to three of NRG Stadium's cafeteria employees who've lost a lot in the wake of Hurricane Harvey's destruction in Houston:

“For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to y'all to help y'all out in some type of way.”

Watson's only in his first year in the NFL, and yet, he's already drawing a ton of admiration from fans and his peers for his actions, on and off the field. While the former collegiate national champion still has some work to do with his actual game mechanics in order to succeed at the NFL level, there's no question that his charitable deed is truly admirable and shouldn't be overlooked.

The league, and the world overall, could use more people like Watson.
