Deshaun Watson was the star at NRG Stadium as the Houston Texans managed to become the second team to take down the New England Patriots, 22-28. His spectacular passing managed to outgun Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots.

His performance in Week 13 was so solid that NFL Stats & Info revealed that his numbers were similar to another legendary quarterback in Jim McMahon.

The Chicago Bears legend was a terrific dual-threat quarterback who was as effective a wide receiver as he was a quarterback. The two-time Super Bowl champion had a solid career, throwing for 18,148 passing yards and 100 touchdowns. He also caught the ball five times for 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Watson is still a young star in his football career, but his plays are making many Texans fans excited for the future. The fact that he also performed well against his idol is noteworthy for him.

“You know, that’s my role model, a guy that’s been doing it forever,” Watson said, according to Fox News' Ryan Gaydos. “[He’s been playing for] over 20 years, I’m only alive for 20 years, so it’s pretty awesome to finally get one and to just see the love and respect we have for each other and it was big. So, it was awesome.”

Watson is having a stellar season for the Texans. He has notched 3,133 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. With this performance, he's going to help the Texans contend for the Super Bowl in the future.
