Jadeveon Clowney has been on the trade block for most of the offseason and the Houston Texans have begun seriously engaging teams in trade talks. There is no guarantee that Clowney will end up being traded, but he has made it clear that he is not scared to miss regular season games as he plans his future.

According to a report from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, via Pro Football Talk, the Texans have talked with five teams regarding a Clowney trade.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the most significant discussions have come with the Miami Dolphins. However, the Texans have also spoken with the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins and New York Jets in regards to the standout pass rusher.

Needless to say, the teams listed as potential trade partners are very intriguing. The Dolphins would make a lot of sense, as they could use some major help defensively. Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington, and New York are all intriguing destinations as well.

Clowney is the kind of player that can completely change a defense for the team that acquires him. He had a solid season in 2018 with 47 total tackles, nine sacks, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and a defended pass.

It will be interesting to see what ends up happening with Clowney. A trade seems likely and as of right now, these five teams are the franchises to keep an eye on. Houston won't trade him just to make a move, but there are a few teams that should pony up to make a deal for him.
