The Los Angeles Rams have been looking to trade Brandin Cooks since the end of the 2019 season and they've finally found a suitor. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Houston Texans are in the process of trading for Cooks.

The Rams are currently loaded at wide receiver and are in need of freeing up cap space for the future. Therefore, Cooks became an expendable piece for Los Angeles this offseason, with them seeking a trade.

Prior to the 2018 season, Cooks was traded to the Rams from the New England Patriots in exchange for a first-round pick and a sixth-round pick. Now, according to Rapoport, the speedy wideout is headed to Houston, while the Rams acquire the No. 57 pick. At the same time, the Texans are also getting Los Angeles' fourth-round pick.

Of course, the Texans turned some heads this offseason by trading DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. Besides signing Randall Cobb, it appears that Houston is going to add Cooks to help replace the void left by Hopkins.

In his first season with the Rams, Cooks was able to notch 80 receptions for 1,204 yards and five touchdowns. However, last season, Cooks finished with only 42 catches, 583 yards, and two touchdowns. Above all, Cooks suffered yet another head injury, causing concern for his future in the NFL.

Nevertheless, when he's healthy, Cooks can be a remarkable vertical threat for a passing attack. While Cooks isn't the same caliber of player as Hopkins, Bill O'Brien seems to believe he can return to the same player he was in 2018.
