Jalen Ramsey knows DeAndre Hopkins better than most. As AFC South rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback has the unenviable task of trying to keep up with the Houston Texans wide receiver on two separate occasions every season.

It's no secret that Hopkins is among the most dangerous offensive weapons in the NFL. After all, he's one of just four players in the NFL with a 99 rating in this year's edition of Madden. Regardless, some fans took issue with Hopkins being placed just above luminaries like Julio Jones and Antonio Brown in the virtual football world.

Ramsey, though? He believes Hopkins is absolutely deserving of being the top receiver in Madden.

“He had a 99 overall rating in Madden, so that’s damn near unguardable on Madden right? It’s pretty much like that in real life too,” Ramsey said, per Anthony R. Wood of Texans Wire.

“It’s tough. It’s one of the toughest battles I have each year, year-in-year-out. We always have pretty good battles. Sometimes I hold him to less yardage, whatever it may be. But I know that he’s a tough guy to go out there and guard play-in and play-out or as much as I get the opportunity to guard him.”

Hopkins lived up to his rating in the season-opener, catching eight passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns, an effort that nearly helped the Texans pull off an upset victory over the New Orleans Saints. Ramsey, meanwhile, had a much tougher go of it in Week 1, getting abused by Kansas City Chiefs wideout Sammy Watkins in the Jaguars' 40-26 loss.
