Deshaun Watson is one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL, and he showcased his abilities as a pass-caller when he willed the Houston Texans to a narrow victory over the Oakland Raiders.

Texans fans cannot emphasize enough how vital he's been to their season. Raiders head coach Jon Gruden agrees, even going so far to give him high praise.

The press asked him about how impactful the 24-year-old has been for his team. Per Vic Tafur, Gruden said that he's the Texan equivalent to one of basketball's most influential player.

Watson was simply unstoppable during his team's win over the Raiders. He was nothing short of terrific inside the pocket, throwing for 279 yards and three touchdowns. He also showcased his versatility, running the ball for 46 yards on ten carries. His all-around performance helped the team get the points they need to see off the competitive Raiders.

It's no small thing to be compared to an athlete as transcendent as Michael Jordan. He's one of the biggest players to ever transcend his sport and make his name unanimous to excellence. He won six NBA championships and distinguished himself as one of the best players to ever pick up the sport.

Of course, Watson's still far from matching that legacy. He's only three years into his NFL career, and he actually led the league in sacks last year. There is some growing to be made before Watson lives up to Gruden's high standards.

However, Texans fans will be hoping that he becomes a player as influential as Jordan was sooner rather than later.
