After Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller went down with a right ankle injury during the team's first drive against the Jets last night, he was seen testing it on the sideline. Miller attempted to return to the game, but was unable to remain in. However, head coach Bill O'Brien did not seem concerned about Miller missing more time.

“I think he will be all right,” O'Brien said per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “I don't think it's major, but we'll have to see when we get back to Houston.”

Before exiting the game, Miller had rushed for eight yards on three carries. His replacement Alfred Blue had only six yards on nine carries. Houston was able to defeat the Jets 29-23, but they rushed for just 47 yards on 17 attempts and 26 of those yards came from quarterback Deshaun Watson.

It's the second week in a row the team's running game has struggled. In their 24-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts— which snapped a 9-game win streak— they ran for 89 total yards, but neither Watson, Miller or Blue ran for more than 35 yards.

“It's been tough,” O'Brien said. “I give the Jets, I give the Colts a lot of credit. Both teams did a really good job of stuffing the run. Good players and good scheme and it's been tough, so we have to try to go back to the drawing board on that and see if we can get it better.”

Miller has 917 rushing yards on the season, he'll have an opportunity to surpass 1,000 yards on the season next week when the Texans head to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. Of course, assuming that the ankle injury doesn't linger.
