The lawyer representing seven women with lawsuits against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson revealed there are more suits likely to be filed.

Tony Buzbee held a press conference Friday to discuss the nature of the lawsuits, which entail allegations of sexual assault and misconduct on Watson's behalf. He said his firm is now representing 12 women and has spoken with an additional 12 women regarding potential cases against Watson, per ESPN's Sarah Barshop.

Buzbee added the cases against Deshaun Watson are currently civil cases, though his clients plan to file police reports.

The Texas lawyer, who lives close to the McNair family, dismissed any notion he coordinated with Texans ownership to bring the lawsuits against Deshaun Watson, saying he has had zero contact with the team.

However, he did say one of the massage therapists his firm is representing in the case involving Deshaun Watson was referred to by an unnamed Texans trainer.

Buzbee also said he fully intends to cooperate with the separate NFL investigation. He insisted the lawsuits against Deshaun Watson have no sort of financial motive:

“This case isn't about money,” Buzbee said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “It's certainly not about seeking publicity or fame. I personally don't need it. These women don't want it. This case is about female empowerment, taking the power back.”

Deshaun Watson issued an initial statement denying any wrongdoing, saying “I have never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect.” His agent, David Mulugheta, also issued a statement Friday.

There is likely to be more information released in the coming days and weeks. It appears the next step for Buzbee and his clients will be to file the police report. Stay with ClutchPoints for more on this complicated, layered, multi-part story involving Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans.
