Chris Pratt voices the title role in The Garfield Movie, but he's not a lasagna fan.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Pratt gave his hot take on lasagna. He even went so far as to call it “overrated.” This may surprise fans of the Garfield comic, who know that one of his signature traits is his love of the dish.
“No. In fact, I don't like lasagna[,] I think it's kind of overrated,” Pratt revealed.
The interviewer agreed with him. “I don't like the vegetables they hide in there,” Pratt said. “Then the long flat noodles and then the little white cheese ends up being cold and there's not enough sauce. I'm not a fan.”
Who is Chris Pratt?
You may recognize Pratt from Parks and Recreation. He played Andy Dwyer on the NBC sitcom from 2009-15. Before that role, Pratt gained notoriety for his performance in the series Everwood. He also had roles in films such as Jennifer's Body, Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, and Her.
2014 was the year Pratt rose to stardom. He starred in The Lego Movie as the lead character Emmet Brickowski. The film was a huge hit and grossed over $460 million worldwide at the box office.
A couple of spin-off films were released, such as The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Ninjago Movie, before a proper sequel was released. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part was released in 2019. However, it wasn't nearly as big of a hit, failing to gross $200 million at the box office.
In the same year as the first Lego Movie, Pratt starred in Guardians of the Galaxy. The MCU film took off, grossing over $770 million at the box office. Pratt would go on to lead two more sequels in the series for James Gunn. Both of the sequels were also box office hits and the franchise grossed nearly $2.5 billion at the box office.
Other roles
After leading the successful Guardians of the Galaxy film, Pratt would land a role in Universal's Jurassic World series. He led a trilogy of films, which all grossed over $1 billion at the box office, with Bryce Dallas Howard.
His other notable credits include Passengers, The Magnificent Seven, Onward, and The Tomorrow World. In 2023, Pratt voiced Mario in The Super Mario Bros Movie, another box office hit. The film was the second highest-grossing film of the year (behind Barbie, which made over $1.4 billion worldwide).
Pratt also made his return to the small screen in 2022, starring in Prime Video's The Terminal List. He also executive produces the series.
