The House of the Dead Remake is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch. Here is when the House of the Dead Remake Release Date is going to be.
The House of the Dead Remake Release Date: April 7, 2022
The House of the Dead Remake is coming out on the Nintendo Switch as an exclusive on April 7, 2022.
The House of the Dead Remake re-imagines the 1996 rail shooter The House of the Dead by Sega's AM1 arcade division. The move from arcade to a console isn't new for the franchise, as the popularity of arcade machines waned over time and gaming has completely moved into home theaters. This also won't be the first time The House of the Dead is being released exclusively on a Nintendo console, as one of our favorite games in the franchise, the irreverent The House of the Dead: Overkill, came out on the Nintendo Wii as an exclusive before later on being released on other consoles as an Extended Cut version of the game came out.
The House of the Dead Remake will still retain the original gameplay – rail shooting may not be as vogue as they have been in the past, but nostalgic fans will appreciate a trip down memory lane as they relive the original game's wacky and campy zombie story. There's also something new for those who aren't so familiar with the game, especially since rail shooting might feel fresh for the younger players who might have never played in arcades before. Either way, The House of the Dead was a classic game whose gameplay aged relatively well, and The House of the Dead Remake will surely help solidify the game's place in gaming history as one of the greats. The House of the Dead Remake release date is coming soon exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
