Have you ever seemingly been that one person out of your friends who still have not seen a critically-acclaimed movie yet? Oklahoma City Thunder forward Patrick Patterson happened to be that guy in his team's locker room when it came to finally going to see “Black Panther” in theaters.

According to an article published yesterday by Patterson in The Players' Tribune, it was none other than his star forward teammate Carmelo Anthony who ended up being the person to go see the movie.

“The last straw came in the locker room after practice, that first day back — before we took off for the start of our road trip in Sacramento. I’m at my locker, and who pulls up beside me but Melo. Melo’s another big movie guy, very legit, knows his stuff. And he looks at me and he goes, ‘Pat, have you seen Black Panther yet?' I’m like, ‘Nah, been in Mexico, I ain’t seen it yet. What’d you think about it?' And he just looks at me real calm. Real calm, no jokes. And he says, ‘Man — that’s my favorite movie of all time.' Then he smiles and walks away,” Patterson wrote.

Patterson has now seen the movie multiple times since that conversation in front of his locker with Anthony, as the 10-time NBA All-Star certainly made a solid choice as his favorite movie of all-time.

As for the Thunder themselves, they continue to play stellar team basketball as of late and are now 6-0 ever since they inserted newly-acquired veteran shooting guard Corey Brewer into the starting lineup. OKC will look for win No. 7 in a row tonight when they take on the Boston Celtics in a primetime contest at TD Garden.
