For the second straight game, Oklahoma City will be without the services of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. Both are recovering from injuries sustained in their win over Golden State on Feb. 6.

According to coach Billy Donovan, there is no timetable for their return.

Westbrook has a left ankle sprain while Anthony has a right ankle sprain.

“Russ was in there this morning working a little bit, trying to move around, getting some treatment,” Donovan said. “Both those guys will continue to do that.”

Donovan wouldn’t say who he plans to start in their place. But in their 106-81 loss to the L.A. Lakers Feb. 8, it was Jerami Grant and Raymond Felton who started alongside Josh Huestis, Paul George, and Steven Adams.

Donovan said the late notice of not having Westbrook and Anthony in the last game threw the team’s dynamic out of kilter. He doesn’t expect that to happen tonight as they host the Memphis Grizzlies at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

“I think in defense of those guys, when something like that happens so quickly, there is not a lot of practice time or ways to adjust, there were guys in different spots and different positions, it was probably a little bit new for them,” Donovan said.

Westbrook is averaging 25.5 points, 10.3 assists, and 9.3 rebounds. Anthony is right at 17 points and six rebounds per game.
