The Minnesota Timberwolves aren't done yet! Game four of the Western Conference Finals between the Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks took place on Tuesday night in Dallas, and the Timberwolves had to win as they were down 3-0 in the series. They got the job done and avoided the sweep, and the series is now 3-1 and shifting back to Minnesota. Anthony Edwards was huge for the Timberwolves in game four as he led all scorers with 29 points.

Game four was another thriller. Because it was 3-0 in favor of the Dallas, it looked like this series has been lopsided, but that has not been the case. All four games now have been terrific, and Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves were finally able to close one out.

Dallas took a 90-89 lead with a little over six minutes remaining on Tuesday, and the pressure was on for the Timberwolves. They responded well and made big plays down the stretch, and they were able to escape with a win to keep their season alive.

Edwards noted after the game that he has never been swept before, and he wasn't going to let it happen tonight.

“I ain't never been swept in my career… even though I've been to the playoffs only three times,” Edwards said during his postgame interview. “I’ve never been swept so I took it personal. I didn't wanna go home, I didn't wanna get swept. I definitely didn't wanna get swept. Not on their home court. Hearing their fans talk trash all day. I think we came out and we competed at a high level today.”

Anthony Edwards didn't want to get swept, and he didn't. The Timberwolves won the game 105-100, and Edwards was a big reason why they won. He was 11-25 from the floor for 29 points, and 2-5 from deep. He also finished with 10 rebounds and nine assists, just one assist away from a triple double.

Edwards and the Timberwolves got the job done, and the series is now shifting back over to Minnesota for game five. The Timberwolves are trying to make history and comeback from down 3-0, and they need to take things one game at a time. All they need to worry about right now is getting a home win on Thursday.

Game five will get going at 8:30 ET on Thursday night from Minnesota. The game will be airing on TNT, and the Timberwolves are currently favored by 4.5 points.
