Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves had the perfect gift for T'wolves legend Kevin Garnett on Sunday. Garnett, who turned 48 years old on the same day Minnesota and the Denver Nuggets played Game 7 of their exhilarating series, saw his former team defeat Nikola Jokic and company, 98-90.

After the game, Towns dropped a special shoutout for The Big Ticket.

“Shoutout to KG [Kevin Garnett], Happy birthday KG. Here's your present from all of us,” the former Kentucky Wildcats star said during the postgame press conference.

Garnett will always have a special place in Minnesota, as The Big Ticket played his first 12 seasons in the NBA with the Timberwolves. Although Garnett never won a title with the Timberwolves, he guided the franchise to its first conference finals appearance in the 2003-04 season — the same campaign he won a Most Valuable Player award. And 20 years later, Towns and the current iteration of the T'wolves have finally ended the two-decade-old conference finals drought by defeating the Nuggets in seven games.

The one-time NBA champion followed the Game 7 between the Timberwolves and the Nuggets and even shared some posts on X (the social media platform formerly referred to as Twitter) about the contest.

“So intense I ain’t had shyt for yall 🐺🐺🐺🐺,” KG said.

NASTY NAZ!!! 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤,” Garnett later sounded off about a play made by Timberwolves big man and 2024 Sixth Man of the Year winner Naz Reid.

Garnett, who also played his final one-and-a-half seasons in the NBA with the Timberwolves after suiting up for the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets, averaged 19.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 970 total games in Minnesota uniform.

Towns was instrumental in the Timberwolves' win in Game 7 over the Nuggets, as he collected 23 points on 8/14 shooting from the floor and also added 12 boards, two assists, two steals, and a block. He was never able to match the numbers of his fellow unicorn, Jokic, but Towns had the last laugh in the series nonetheless.

Towns and the Timberwolves can expect Garnett to continue cheering for them in the West finals where Minnesota will take on the dangerous Dallas Mavericks, who are led by the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven series will be on Wednesday in Minnesota.
