Patrick Beverley's trash talk antics is a polarizing topic amongst fans. On one hand, fans feel like the Timberwolves guard can go overboard at times, especially when he talks smack against some stars. However, other fans are endeared to Beverley's bulldog style of play on and off the court.

One thing's for sure, though: P-Bev has no filter when it comes to trash talk. During the Timberwolves-Sixers matchup on Friday night, Patrick Beverley complained to referees about Joel Embiid not getting calls. In the process, Bev roasted Embiid's lack of hardware on the court. (via Legion Hoops)

It's no secret that NBA stars subtly get preferential treatment from referees at times. Beverley is complaining about that particular instance for Embiid, while arguing that the Sixers star isn't deserving of such treatment in his career. It's one of the more savage disses the Timberwolves guard has dished in his career.

Sixers fans are likely incensed at Beverley's comments, and rightly so. While the Timberwolves guard said nothing false, it doesn't take away from how great Embiid has been in his career. He came second in MVP voting last season, and is once again one of the favorites to win the award. Simply put: Embiid will be better today than Beverley was in his entire career.

Knowing Embiid's trolling nature, it will be interesting to see how he responds to this diss from Beverley. Nonetheless, Timberwolves fans will have a little bit of fun with this poke at one of the league's best players today.
