Minnesota Timberwolves stud Anthony Edwards may be the hottest rookie in the league right now, but as it turns out, the 19-year-old could learn a lesson or two about tact. The Wolves' prized youngster was recently asked about new team owner Alex Rodriguez and Edwards responded with a rather contentious remark about the future (probably) baseball Hall of Famer.

Edwards was brutally honest with his response when asked to give his thoughts on Minnesota's incoming co-owner — perhaps a bit too much for his own good:

“I don't know who that is. I know he's going to be the owner. But I don't know anything about baseball,” Edwards said, via team insider Dane Moore.

Even non-baseball fans should know who Alex Rodriguez is. This fact becomes even more relevant if he's going to be the man who signs your paychecks in the near future.

To be fair to Edwards, we have to take note that the Timberwolves youngster is just 19. He wasn't even a teenager when Rodriguez was at the prime of his career in the MLB. Edwards also admitted that he has zero knowledge when it comes to baseball, so I guess he gets a pass here?

You have to credit the kid for his honesty, though. The Timberwolves rookie did not try to beat around the bush and he decided to say exactly what was on his mind.

At the end of the day, Edwards is in Minnesota not to be cordial, but to play basketball. He's been doing quite well in that respect so we're pretty sure A-Rod himself won't be up in arms about this issue.
