The Tennessee Titans made a big addition to their receiver corps this offseason, signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Adam Humphries to a four-year deal.

The Titans were definitely in need of some depth at that position. Humphries will unquestionably provide that and give them an elite slot receiver:

Humphries is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games and hauled in 76 receptions for 816 yards and five touchdowns in what was the most productive season of his NFL career.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Clemson University, went undrafted but landed with the Buccaneers in 2015.

He had a very limited role during his rookie campaign, appearing in 13 contests and catching just 27 passes for 260 yards and a score. But, the following year, Humphries' role grew. He participated in 15 games and snared 55 balls for 622 yards while reaching the end zone a couple of times.

The Spartanburg, S.C. native then had a similar season in 2017, finishing with 61 receptions for 631 yards and one touchdown.

Tennessee has some young and talented wideouts, but Humphries will bring a stable, veteran presence who will also give Marcus Mariota a security blanket on third downs.

The Titans won nine games this past season and narrowly missed the playoffs, losing a winner-take-all game to the Indianapolis Colts in the final week of the regular season.

Tennessee made the playoffs in the 2017 campaign, representing the franchise's first trip to the postseason since the 2008 season.
