The Tennessee Titans' first time being the AFC's top seed in over a decade didn't last long. With a last-second field goal, the Cincinnati Bengals took the victory on Tennessee's home field to advance to the conference championship game. The Bengals dished the Titans a tatse of their own medicine by beating the top seed at home to advance to the AFC Championship Game, which Tennessee did in 2019.

After the loss, Derrick Henry said that everyone was stunned. AJ Brown was understandably not very jovial, either. The day after Tennessee's loss, he is still upset about it.

Althogh Brown added after the agme that he needed to be better, there wasn't much more he could have done. The Titans' leading receiver had a solid game against the Bengals, recording 142 receiving yards on five catches along with a fantastic touchdown grab late in the game. Henry, in first game back after a lengthy absence, was mediocre, recording 62 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 attempts.

Ryan Tannehill showed that he isn't dependable in high-leverage situations. He threw three interceptions, including one late in the fourth quarter that put the Bengals just outside of field-goal range, and just one touchdown to go along with 220 passing yards. The Titans could reach another gear with a more talented quarterback. It should be their priority to find one this offseason.

The tiro of Brown, Henry and Julio Jones was dynamic in the brief time it showed up this season. With a more reliable and strong optuon under center, the Titans could get back to the AFC Championship Game.
