It will be a historic moment for the legendary HBO television program, “Hard Knocks,” if the show can air this year. Currently slated to feature not one but two teams this time around, both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers will be participating.

However, at least one football fan was curious as to why not the Tennessee Titans? Jay Glazer of both FOX Sports and The Athletic was able to provide at least one reason why…

“Hey, Jay. Any chance the Titans are on Hard Knocks? I need more Mike Vrabel in my life, I’m not even a Titans fan. —Matt W.

“Who doesn’t need more Mike Vrabel in their life? But, no, they are going to do the LA teams. If you did something on Mike Vrabel it would have to be Hard Knocks: Uncensored or Hard Knocks: After Dark. Trust me on this about Mike Vrabel. I’m laughing picturing him reading this.”

It is also worth noting that the Titans are one of the few teams that were eligible to decline an offer to be featured on HBO's “Hard Knocks” this season as Tennessee reached the postseason — and then some — in 2019-20. In most instances, successful franchises are not willing to participate, while teams that don't have the option to decline such an offer like the Titans typically wind up as the subject of “Hard Knocks” each summer.

The Titans reached the postseason by way of the AFC's sixth and final season last year before ultimately reaching the AFC Championship Game against the eventual Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
