The Tennessee Titans have recently been dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19 within their organization. On Saturday, the team announced that three players had been activated from the COVID-19 list, but one very important player was not included in the clearance. NFL reporter Mike Garafolo tweeted that star wide receiver Julio Jones remains in COVID protocols and will not play in Week 17.

This is a huge blow to the Titans, who are dealing with absence talent all over their starting roster. Notably, running back Derrick Henry has been out of commission since Week 8, and is not expected to return from the injured reserve until next week.

Obviously, being without Jones is never good for the Titans' offense. He is the third most productive wide receiver for Tennessee this year, with 26 receptions and 376 receiving yards. Mike Vrabel will certainly miss him on Sunday, but it isn't the end of the world — or the end of the season.

Fortunately, they are in a great position for a solid playoff run, whereas multiple other teams are fighting for a chance at the postseason contest. Jones will most likely be ready to go for Week 18 when the Titans visit the Houston Texans.

The Titans have been extremely impressive this year, with a 10-5 record at the top of the AFC South. That being said, there is no doubt that Jones will have the chance to play in a solid playoff stretch in the postseason.
