Maurice Jones-Drew knows that the Tennessee Titans got a pleasant surprise with quarterback Ryan Tannehill in 2019.

Tannehill came into the season as the backup to Marcus Mariota. However, he took over starting duties a few weeks into the season.

In 12 games for the Titans, Ryan Tannehill completed a career-high 70.3% of his passes. That led to 2,742 yards, 22 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He also showed off his running skills with four rushing touchdowns.

This all helped catapult Tennessee to a 9-7 record, and a playoff spot. In the playoffs, the Titans picked up shocking wins over the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.

A massive year like the one Tannehill had has generated a lot of interest. Suddenly, the free agent could go to any number of places.

According to Robbie Weinstein of 247Sports.com, Maurice Jones-Drew has an idea where that might be for Ryan Tannehill.

“If Tom is in Tennessee, that means Ryan Tannehill has to go elsewhere,” Jones-Drew said. “I’m gonna go ahead and say he’s gonna go to the Chicago Bears. This is the reason: We’ve seen Ryan Tannehill win a QB battle with Marcus Mariota earlier this year, he earned the right, and then he balled out. We know Chicago is led by what? Their defense. All they need is a quarterback to just do their job. Obviously, Mitch Trubisky has the issue with turning the ball over sometimes. You get Ryan Tannehill in there, he’s gonna do his job, get ‘em going.”

So Jones-Drew believes Tom Brady might be headed to Tennessee. If that is the case, they obviously would not bring back Ryan Tannehill.

Meanwhile, there is a lot of speculation surrounding the Chicago Bears. Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears were serious disappointments in 2019. Due to that, there's no reason to believe they are not in the market for a new QB.

Ryan Tannehill would be the perfect person to bring in. He should still come pretty cheap, and would give them someone to compete with Trubisky. That gives the young quarterback a chance to earn his starting spot, but someone to keep him on his toes.

It remains to be seen where Ryan Tannehill goes. However, Jones-Drew is definitely on to something with this theory.
