The Tennessee Titans have now fallen a few spots in the AFC playoff picture following their 36-13 road loss to the New England Patriots in Week 12.

The Titans came into today as the clear No. 1 seed in the AFC, which sure would have surprised many ahead of the season. They still hold the top spot in the AFC South but now sit at the No. 3 seed in the conference.

Turnovers and penalties sure were the theme of the contest for Tennessee. Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw one costly interception, while his offensive attack totaled for three fumbles lost. More so, a combined five penalties marred the team's lowly outing on the day.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel sure was far from pleased with the constant mistakes from his team over the course of the contest, which he opened up about during his post-game press conference.

“Can't go on the road, especially against a good team, and do those types of things and have penalties and start drives on the 10-yard line,” Vrabel said. “Penalties on special teams, turnovers. So, you don't have to look too hard on why we lost.”

The Titans' injury issues have become a major concern for the team as of late. They have a staggering 15 players on injured reserve, while six other players were ruled out from Week 12 due to their respective injuries.

Vrabel sees that his team simply has to get healthy as it nears the stretch run of the campaign.

“We’ve got to get healthy mentally and physically,” Vrabel said. “And get back to playing football how we know how to play it, taking care of the football, playing complementary, knowing the details. A lot of things to improve.”

The bye week sure has come at just the opportune time for Tennessee.
