The addition of Robert Woods will greatly benefit the Tennesee Titans. Once he is done rehabbing from an ACL tear, the Titans will have a very versatile wide receiver that will cover up the loss of Julio Jones.
Woods has spent the past five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He became a huge addition to the team and was a key contributor to their championship-winning team even though he was injured for the playoffs. After making a move for Allen Robinson, LA decided to do right by Bobby Trees and let him work out a trade.
According to ESPN's Turron Davenport, the Rams told Woods he had some power in where he was traded. After doing his research, he picked the Titans.
“I did my research and spoke with past players that were here. And just having a relationship with Todd Downing and Rob Moore already from being in Buffalo. Then Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill, A.J. Brown … they're a top-performing team and the Coach of the Year [Mike Vrabel], so joining this team is beneficial for my career.”
The Titans were a very sensible pick for Woods, who is looking to contend for even more championships and is still worthy of a top role in an offense. Alongside A.J. Brown, he will be a top target for Ryan Tannehill once his knee heals.
In nine games last season, he recorded 556 receiving yards on 45 catches with four touchdowns. In the prior three seasons, he caught at least 85 passes and recorded at least 900 receiving yards. Tennessee is getting a strong player that wants to be there.
