Amid the multitude of injuries that they have faced so far this season, the Tennessee Titans received good news on Friday regarding one standout player.

As noted by Titans head coach Mike Vrabel during his press conference on Friday, wide receiver A.J. Brown will feature against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5. However, Vrabel also announced that Julio Jones will be ruled out for the game due to his nagging hamstring injury.

Both wideouts missed the Titans' Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets due to a hamstring injury. They each did not practice all last week and were subsequently held out of the contest as a result. Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the offense surely missed the two in the game, as they finished with a 4.6 yards per play average.

As was the case last week, Jones did not feature in any of the Titans' scheduled practices this week. On the other hand, Brown was limited in practice on Wednesday but managed to be a full participant on both Thursday and Friday.

Brown's production in practice on Friday played a vital role in Vrabel’s decision to declare him as available for the Titans' upcoming AFC South clash with the Jaguars.

“He’s worked hard, and he’s progressed,” Vrabel said. “I would say that based off the body of work that we saw today, excited about that.”

Brown is off to a slow start this season with 92 receiving yards recorded through three games played. Still, he will have a chance at his first standout performance of the campaign against a Jaguars defense that currently ranks 30th in pass defense with a 312.3 passing yards allowed per game average.

Tennessee will aim to move a game over the .500 mark in Week 5.
