Tommy Fury has been the subject of criticism from boxing fans as of late. It all started when YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul called him out for seemingly ditching their fight plans. Paul questioned Fury's drive for the sport, saying that:

ā€œI think the pressure cracks him. He definitely doesnā€™t want the fight. And if he did, he wouldā€™ve gotten into the USā€¦Heā€™s the joker here. Heā€™s the clown, and heā€™s the one who doesnā€™t back up anything that heā€™s saying.ā€

Fury also received flak from his own father, who claimed that Tommy wasn't taking his training seriously. Now, Tommy Fury has broken his silence on why he never made it to the US. The boxing star claimed that he tried his best to enter the country, but was refused to.

ā€œI want to get one thing straight, the reason this fight didn't take place is because I couldn't get in the country, not because I wasn't training or wasn't fit. I was ready and raring to go, I was at the airport on Monday morning with my whole team, ready to fly out and get the show on the road.ā€

If you're wondering why Tommy Fury can't get into the country, well, there's a shocking reason why. One of the Fury family's associates, Daniel Joseph Kinahan, is wanted for massive drug and firearm trafficking operations. Because of that, any person with relations to him are not allowed to travel anywhere.

Tommy himself isn't particularly close with Kinahan. It's his brother's relationship with Kinahan, though, that put his fight in jeopardy. Hopefully, both Tommy Fury and Jake Paul can figure out the details of a potential fight outside of the US.
