If you have the same MMA resume as Lewis, it’s not hard to find that kind of confidence. Lewis owns a 25-7-0 pro record, with 20 of his wins coming by way of T/KOs. Everyone knows that Lewis will be looking for when he steps inside the Octagon and after he touches gloves with Gane Saturday night in the main event of UFC 265 and that’s to score a highlight knockout. Lewis is on a four-fight win streak, a stretch that includes his astounding knockout win over Curtis Blaydes back in February. Prior to that, he stopped submission specialist Aleksei Oleinik in the second round of their bout in August 2020.
However, Lewis can’t afford to be overly confident against Gane, who is 9-0-0 so far in his MMA career. Gane comes across as the better well-rounded fighter between him and Lewis, as he’s got three T/KO wins with as many submission victories.
