The combat sporting world has announced another oddball fight. Apparently, UFC legends Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz are set to fight in a Triller bout in September. Silva recently took on boxing after retiring from the UFC, while Ortiz has been off and on in other MMA leagues. However, according to Guilherme Cruz, the two former champions will face off in the boxing ring soon.

Triller has grown in popularity over the years, recently showcasing Jake Paul versus Ben Askren that reeled in 1.5 million viewers. With two prominent names in Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz, there's a chance Triller breaks that number, or comes close to it. The September 11th date is not guaranteed at this time, but the fight appears to be in the works with an official announcement coming soon.

Tito Ortiz was the face of the UFC for quite some time. He's one of the trailblazers of the organization along with Chuck Liddell. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” quickly became one of the biggest names in MMA as he played a vital role in helping the UFC become what it is today.

Anderson Silva is known as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. After dominating the Middleweight division for years, Silva finally retired from the UFC after defending his belt 10 consecutive times. He broke that record back in 2012. It was held up until Jon Jones broke the record with 11 title defenses in 2020. “Spida” won his first boxing match against Julio César Chávez Jr. by split decision.

Ortiz was more known as a wrestler during his day in the UFC while Silva was known as a dangerous striker. Anderson Silva will likely be the favorite to win the boxing match against Tito Ortiz, as boxing is much more natural for the UFC legend. We'll see how it plays out though, as these two veterans continue to push the limits of their fighting careers.
