Luke Rockhold is finally set to return to the UFC after being forced out due to injuries. He's set to meet Paulo Costa and there is plenty of beef between the two middleweights ahead of the clash.
Ahead of his return, Luke Rockhold spoke to The Schmo and he did not hold back on Paul Costa. The two have had trouble agreeing to a date and August appears to be when the two UFC fighters are finally set to meet.
“Paulo Costa is pathetic and the kid needs to sign the contract and agree to the weight, agree to the fight, agree to the date, agree to the dance, and [blows a kiss] let’s go,” said Rockhold. “There’s always been questions. It was July 2nd. It was July 30th and now this bitch is trying to move it to fucking August. I’m sick [and] I’m tired of just fucking…this shit. But I really want to beat that fucker’s ass, so we’re going to August it is.”
Luke Rockhold made it clear from the start that he wanted to face Paulo Costa and no one else. There was no other name in the UFC's middleweight division that made sense for him.

“Honestly, there’s nothing else out there that makes sense, so we agreed to the deal,” said Rockhold. “The UFC wants the fight. I want the fight. Who knows what the fuck Paulo wants. He wants a prayer, so keep those prayers and keep that weight low, buddy. I’ll see you soon.”
The two are going to be fighting at middleweight despite Paulo Costa's past weight problems. Luke Rockhold did say in the past he wanted to work with the UFC to potentially give him a five-pound allowance.
“There’s nothing to that,” said Rockhold. “A little insight, the UFC will be monitoring his weight weekly and we’ll be dancing at a proper weight. If he can’t make the weight, there will be a transition I’m sure at some point.”
