Sean Strickland is not known to mince words and that hasn't changed heading into his next UFC main event opposite Jack Hermansson. The Swedish-Norwegian fighter is known for his grappling but that doesn't matter to Strickland.

The UFC welterweight striker has been brutally going after everyone in the division and he's not messing around. He made his feelings clear when asked about Jack Hermansson's grappling.

“I’m a way better grappler than Jack is,” Strickland told MMA Junkie. “I think it’s going to be a kickboxing match. I think we’re going to stand and bang. Obviously it’s a fight, anything happens, but like the fourth round I want to fucking take his soul. I want to take everything from him. I want to watch him bleed. I want to watch him hurt. The fourth round I really just want to fucking put it on him.”

Big things could come for the winner of the upcoming UFC main event. Middleweight already has a title eliminator bout in terms of Derek Brunson vs Jared Cannonier but that doesn't matter to Sean Strickland.

“If Brunson wins I think I should get the title shot if I beat Jack,” Strickland said. “If Cannonier wins he deserves it. If Brunson wins, we’ve already seen that. I think I should get it.

“Whittaker ain’t gonna beat Izzy. No offense, Whittaker, you’re a fucking savage. I’m a fan, dude. But he ain’t gonna beat him.”

Sean Strickland is set to take on Jack Hermansson on February 5 in a UFC main event. The winner will find themselves in a good position in the middleweight division.
