Luke Rockhold recently made some comments about Sean Strickland that did not sit well with the UFC middleweight. The former champion was supposed to fight him in the past but the fight was cancelled after an injury.

“[Strickland] is out there supporting pedophiles,” Rockhold said on The DC Check-In. “Piece of crap. The guy needs to be written off.”

Sean Strickland did not take long to fire back and he did not disappoint. The UFC middleweight took to his Instagram story to fire back at Luke Rockhold after he made his bonkers claim.

“How much brain damage has this man taken?” Strickland said of Rockhold on his story (h/t MiddleEasy).

“So whenever Luke Rockhold first started running his mouth about me, it made me upset because a lot of what he was saying was untrue. We trained, I almost knocked him out, there were witnesses. And this whole supporting pedophiles thing… he’s almost like detached from reality.”

Sean Strickland continued to go off on Luke Rockhold and the insults soon turned to the classic brain injury subject. The UFC middleweight went on to bring up his past knockouts as a source of his outlandish comments,

“Then I’m starting to realize the guy is 40 years old and he’s been knocked out how many times? I mean, viciously knocked out. Probably has severe brain damage, maybe some CTE. I don’t know man, maybe it’s time to hang up the gloves for good.”

Sean Strickland currently has a fight booked against Alex Pereira and is hoping it earns him a title shot. Luke Rockhold is booked to face Paulo Costa at UFC 268 in August.
