McGregor shared he was scheduled to go live for a television show. However, when he heard the unfortunate news, he decided to skip on the taping. The Irish mixed martial artist also went on to remind the people of practicing proper hygiene, washing hands, and refraining from touching the face.
McGregor, the first fighter in UFC history to hold two championships in separate weight classes, recently came back from a more than one year hiatus from the Octagon. In his return this January, The Notorious One took care of Donald Cerrone, defeating the 36-year old 40 seconds into the fight.
The coronavirus outbreak has affected nearly every sporting event across the globe, including the UFC. A couple of UFC shows have either been relocated to an isolated venue or are now behind closed doors.
More importantly, however, the virus has affected the lives of many people all over the world, and in fact, has already killed thousands.
This pandemic is absolutely getting out of control. There is no telling when this will stop. Personally, all we can do is practice proper hygiene to prevent the further spread of the virus. Wash your hands, folks.
