Former UFC champion Jon Jones has admitted that he almost lost everything in the past but now he's ready to bounce back.

Jon Jones' life outside the sport has not been as fascinating as his UFC career and his drinking problems soon took a toll on him. In fact, just several hours after being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his epic light heavyweight fight against Alexander Gustafsson, Jones was arrested in Las Vegas on battery domestic violence and vehicle tampering charges after allegedly assaulted his wife.

Sharing his raw thoughts about the issue, “Bones” took to social media the challenges he has been dealing with in his personal life.

According to Jones, he has been sober for “60 days and counting” and he is certain God has got his back in the process.

“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour,” the ex-UFC light heavyweight champion wrote on Twitter.

“My family, my life, my career could’ve been over after what happened in Las Vegas,” he continued. “But God had other plans for me. 60 days sober and counting.”

It is yet to be known whether the UFC will still be open to welcoming Jones back. The only thing certain at this point is that the 34-year-old has begun training again with new set of trainers at Jackson Wink MMA.  He recently announced that he is set to take on undefeated Bellator fighter and AEW's Jake Hager in a grappling match.
