Jorge Masvidal was a considerable underdog for his fight against Colby Covington at UFC 272 on Saturday night, but that didn't stop some significant wagers from being made on the 37-year-old. Among the notable figures to throw down some coin on the fight was Drake, who reportedly placed a $275,000 bet on Masvidal to pull off a stunning upset. Unfortunately for Drake, things didn't go in his favor, with Covington earning the win by decision. After hearing about Drake's sizeable loss, Masvidal tweeted at the rapper in order to offer to take him out to dinner next time he's in Miami.
Next time you in Miami dinner on me @Drake

Masvidal couldn't help but feel responsible for Drake losing out on a big chunk of change on Saturday, and in order to make up for it, offered to treat the rapper to dinner when he makes his next trip out to South Beach. While Drake was certainly aware the wager was a significant risk, the payout had Masvidal upset Covington would have been surreal.
Article Continues BelowMasvidal and Drake would have to do some seriously fine dining for the rapper to recoup his losses from Saturday's fight, but the veteran MMA star extended the olive branch nonetheless.
To make matters worse for Drake, after Covington was named the winner of Saturday's bout, he proceeded to call out the rapper with some NSFW comments, telling him to “go back to selling his [expletive] albums.”
It was surely a Saturday night to forget for Drake and his wallet, who is probably regretting backing Masvidal at UFC 272 in such a large fashion.
