On Thursday night, the Orlando Magic absolutely trounced the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 127-89. In the fourth quarter, with his team already up by 30, Orlando shooting guard Terrence Ross decided to show off. Via Bleacher Report on Twitter:

The 28-year-old worked around Hornets defender Guillermo Hernangómez, getting under the hoop for an absurd one-handed slam.

The highlight-reel play was just the icing on the cake for Ross. He tallied 21 points, two rebounds and one assist in only 22 minutes off the bench.

On the season, Ross has averaged 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 43.2%. The seven-year veteran has not started a game for the Magic this season. His absurd dunk Thursday night was his 16th of the season.

Ross is in the final year of his deal with Orlando and is set to hit free agency this offseason, according to Spotrac.

The Hornets and the Magic are among the teams locked in a heated playoff race for the last few spots in the Eastern Conference. After Thursday's loss, the Hornets fell to 27-30. They are only a half game ahead of the Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat, who are tied for the eighth seed. Orlando's win, on the other game, brought them to only a half game behind the two teams.

According to ESPN's BPI Playoff Odds, entering Thursday Charlotte had the best chance of the four teams to make the playoffs, at 60.5%. Detroit was next at 56.1%, followed by Miami at 52.6% and Orlando at 37.1%.
