The Golden State Warriors capped off their regular season series against the Oklahoma City Thunder Tuesday night with a 111-107 victory, with both teams splitting the four games. For the finale, the defending champions entered an electric Chesapeake Energy Arena atmosphere, but their resolve proved to be greater than the jeers coming from the Thunder crowd.

Golden State was paced by the usual suspects in Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, but one unlikely supporting cast member proved to be the one man that Oklahoma City could not gameplan against.

Big man Damian Jones was the surprise that Steve Kerr had in his back pocket. With Kevon Looney out for the night, Jones was able to run the floor for 13 minutes, going a perfect 4-of-4 from the field for eight points. While the numbers don't jump out of the building, his presence was still felt and the rest of the Warriors made sure that Jones knew he was appreciated.

In speaking with reporters after the game, head coach Steve Kerr explained the sudden noise that came from the Warriors locker room that got everyone curious, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

The Warriors are known for being a tightly-knit group and this occurrence only strengthens that reputation.

Golden State is already a lock for the Western Conference's second overall spot behind the rampaging Houston Rockets. Meanwhile, the loss puts Oklahoma City at 45-34 for the season. The Thunder's record is good for sixth place in the West, but the middle of the playoff race is very volatile.
