Center Nikola Jokic is reportedly this season's MVP winner, and that would make Philadelphia Sixers star Joel Embiid the runner-up. Now that things might be changing for the giants of the NBA, it has Golden State Warriors big man James Wiseman excited for his future.

As everyone knows, NBA superstars such as Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and many more have helped turn basketball into a skilled sport made for players who aren't centers. Seven-foot-back-to-the-basket players dominated the NBA throughout most of its existence, but that hasn't been the case in the last 20 years.

“Yeah, it feels very good,” Wiseman told ClutchPoints. “It gives me a lot of inspiration as well. I look at them dudes as inspiration. I look at their film a lot, so I can add stuff to my game. I'm always a student of the game. Always.”

This year James Wiseman was set to be the Warriors' lone 7-footer on the team. Unfortunately, the meniscus injury he suffered last year never healed up enough for him to return at all season long. He played in two G-league games before swelling in the knee sidelined him for good this year.

Now the plan is to take things one day at a time and hopefully play some games in this year's NBA Summer League. Wiseman is currently traveling to all postseason games because Steve Kerr believes being around these hostile environments will help prepare him for his future.

The 21-year-old is staying positive about his journey. He’s listening closely to the Warriors' training staff and being motivated by two of the best centers in the world.
