Golden State Warriors held their collective breath during the fourth quarter of Game 3. Boston Celtics center Al Horford landed on Stephen Curry's ankle, leaving him clearly in pain.

Watch the scene below as the Warriors star was seen limping shortly thereafter:

The Game 3 loss certainly hurts, but Stephen Curry's health remains top priority for the Warriors to have a chance at winning yet another NBA Finals. Curry has been far and away their best player for Golden State and has been the most consistent performer from both sides in the Finals through the first three games. If he's forced to miss any time due to injury, the Warriors could find themselves in an uphill battle with the next contest in Boston while already trailing 2-1.

Thankfully, the initial word coming right after the game remains mostly optimistic. Stephen Curry himself said that while the pain felt similar to his previous injury against the Celtics earlier in the season, he doesn't think the gravity of it would force him to miss any time.

“I’m gonna be alright. I got caught underneath Al. Obviously, will be in some pain, but I’ll be alright. See how I feel tomorrow and get ready for Friday,” Curry shared, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.

“Same thing that happened in March against Boston, but not as bad.”

Steve Kerr had a similar sentiment. While the Warriors coach wouldn't rule out a serious injury entirely, he seemed to shrug off the initial fears that Stephen Curry would miss a chunk of time.
