Former Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala made an appearance on ESPN's ā€œFirst Take,ā€ ensuring to say former teammate and golf partner Stephen Curry will come back even stronger from his injury.

The Swiss army knife said he doesn't think he should come back this season, even if he's expected to return by March 1:

ā€œSelfish reasons? No,ā€ joked Iguodala. ā€œHe hurt the left hand, you can't golf with the left hand if it's hurting (laughs). I think he needs to get a real break in terms of being able to relax ā€¦

ā€œI think it's good mentally for him to be able to step away, be able to get a nice breather and he's gonna come back on a wrath next year.ā€

The Warriors are expecting Curry to get on the floor at some point this season if he is deemed okay to return after his re-evaluation, but there isn't any real reason to trot the two-time MVP out there with nothing to fight for.

Golden State is way out of playoff contention and has no incentive to win games at the end of the season or put further miles on Curry's limbs by giving him some end-of-season games.

If he does play, it will be due to his own wishes and his competitiveness, but his meal ticket will come once he suits up next to a healthy Klay Thompson on the Warriors next season, and no one knows that better than Iguodala, who played six seasons next to that duo.
