Andrew Wiggins has always been an offensive-minded player in his career, but that seems to be changing during his time with the Golden State Warriors. With Wiggins proving that he's made improvements on the defensive end, Stephen Curry and the Warriors have conjured up a new nickname for Wiggins, via ESPN's Nick Friedell.

Ever since his college days at Kansas, Wiggins was a freakish athlete that could score in a variety of ways on the floor. While his outside shot has needed work over the years, Wiggins was always able to attack the basket with ferocity.

However, in his first full season with the Warriors thus far, it's evident that he spent part of the offseason working on his defensive game. The former No. 1 overall selection of the Minnesota Timberwolves is currently logging a career-best 1.5 blocks per game in the first 14 games of the 2020-2021 season.

Wiggins is beginning to use his uncanny athleticism on the defensive end, which is catching the eye of his teammates. In back-to-back games against the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers last week, Wiggins combined for nine blocks total.

Alongside Curry and Kelly Oubre Jr., Wiggins is still relied upon as one of the main scorers for the Warriors. But if he wants to take that next step, he'll need to continue improving on the defensive end. With members of Golden State taking notice of his contributions as a defender, Wiggins is earning himself a new nickname that could hopefully stick for the rest of the season.
