It's time to give Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins the credit he is due.

Wiggins made headlines for his breakout performance for the Warriors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, finishing with a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds along with two steals and a block. He was all over the floor for Golden State as they locked down Boston and made life hard for them on the offensive end.

However, while his display on Monday has been a major talking point, he has actually been sensational for the Warriors the whole NBA Finals so far. He has been the team's second-best player behind Stephen Curry, averaging more points than Klay Thompson while leading in both rebounds and shots contested in the series.

Heck, he's even second in blocks and has been holding Jayson Tatum to just 37.5 percent shooting, per Stat Muse.

Without Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors likely would have been trailing in the series against the Celtics.

Stephen Curry remains the best and most important player for the Warriors–having single-handedly given them their first two win of the 2022 NBA Finals. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that Wiggins has been crucial in allowing them to thrive and making things more difficult for the Celtics.

Come Game 6, the Warriors will surely lean on Wiggins once again as they try to wrap things up.
