D'Angelo Russell is relishing the opportunity to play for the Golden State Warriors, alongside arguably the greatest shooter of all time in Stephen Curry.

After being acquired by the Dubs in a sign-and-trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets this summer, D'Lo is expected to start alongside Curry in the Dubs' backcourt. Russell said that he's trying to act like a vet whenever he's playing with Steph, though he couldn't hide his excitement with the opportunity.

Russell will be playing a huge role for the Warriors this season, as he's set to star at shooting guard while fellow All-Star Klay Thompson recovers from his ACL injury. Last season, he averaged 21.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists while shooting close to 37 percent from beyond the arc for the Nets.

Gone are the days of Russell playing around and making fun of his teammates. Over the past couple of years, he's shown that he has matured as an individual, and that has led him to become a better player on the court as well. His growth as a person will help him adjust to the culture in Golden State.

Although there are rumors that Russell could be moved before the 2020 trade deadline, there's still a possibility that he could finish this season with the Warriors, especially if he can prove that he can co-exist with Curry. Russell has already shown that he can be a leader. No, it's time for him to prove he can be a winner.
