DeMarcus Cousins is enjoying his time so far playing for the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Part of the reason why he enjoys coming to work so much is because of his head coach, Steve Kerr.

Cousins raved about the environment and culture that Kerr has created in the locker room, and that seems to be making his transition into the Warriors much smoother.

Cousins recently returned from a devastating Achilles injury last season and made his debut for the defending champs last week against the Los Angeles Clippers. Though he's still working into game shape, it seems like he has fit in nicely into the Warriors system.

So far, in four games, Kerr has worked to get Cousins comfortable in the system and has placed him in positions to succeed and produce. Over that stretch, Cousins is averaging 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 21 minutes per game.

On Saturday night, against the Boston Celtics, Cousins got his first taste of playoff atmosphere-like basketball. Many believe that this match-up could be a preview of this year's NBA Finals.

Cousins fared well in the thrilling contest that saw Golden State take down Boston on the road, 115-111. He made plays, got to his spots, and played relatively good defense, moving his feet and protecting the paint. Cousins finished his night with 15 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in 23 minutes.

The player-turned-coach has never really had a legitimate low post threat in his time as the lead general of the Warriors, and Cousins provides him that. He is also a skilled and willing passer, thus Kerr's options just grew richer with the addition of the four-time All-Star.
