DeMarcus Cousins is rolling out his first tweets as a member of the Golden State Warriors. His recent tweet includes him donning Warriors apparel, captioned with a message regarding his comeback.

Below is Boogie's tweet:

To recall, Cousins suffered an ACL injury on January 26. He went under the knife on January 31 and was subsequently ruled out of the season. Now, as part of the Warriors, he is expected to return sometime in December or January.

Based on the picture, Cousins seems ready to suit up. But for Warriors general manager Bob Myers, they are not rushing. Their main aim is to have their new star ready come playoff time. Per Mark Medina of The Mercury News, Myers elaborated:

“The goal for us is to have him in the playoffs. That doesn’t mean we’ll wait until the playoffs. When he’s ready to play, he’ll play. We just don’t know when that will be.”

“I think the surgery is anywhere from eight to ten months from the time you have it,” Myers said. “For us, it won’t be, ‘We need you to get out there tonight. It’ll be ramping it up slowly. You can’t really tell with a guy until they get on the court and does certain things.”

Cousins, for his part, said intends to put in the work needed to succeed. He is aware that he's in the best position to finally win a ring. Per the Associated Press via NBC Sports:

“I’m coming in just playing my part. I’ll do whatever it takes to help this team win. Of course, I’m in a position where I’m able to play for a championship and every NBA player’s goal is to win a championship. So I’m coming in and I’ll do whatever it takes.”
