Draymond Green missed the first few days of the Golden State Warriors' training camp due to personal reasons. He re-joined his team on Thursday and unsurprisingly, he had quite a few things to say.

One of the topics Green discusses with the media centered around how the Warriors intend to approach the upcoming season. When asked to give his thoughts on his team's plans to focus on youth development, the former All-Star had a rather cryptic response:

“I mean I think that's the plan, so regardless of what I may think about it or what anyone may think about it, that's kind of the route we're taking and in the position I'm in, you just have to do all you can to make it a success,” Green told reporters Thursday, via Alex Didion of NBC Sports.

To be clear, Green isn't trying to start a mutiny here. The former Defensive Player of the Year has always been known to speak his mind, and on this particular occasion, it seems that he's implying that he may not be 100 percent convinced about this particular approach. Nevertheless, Green did say that he still intends to do everything he can to help the Warriors.

It did not end there for Draymond Green. He then raised his concerns about the unusual mix of youngsters and veterans within the Warriors roster:

“Historically we have not seen that work where you've kind of got a mix of old, I wouldn't say any of us are old, but older, Andre's old as s–t actually,” Green added. “But a mixture of experience and hardly any experience, historically I think in just being a fan of the NBA, I can't recall the last time you've seen someone have success with that, but in saying that that is our situation. So, you do what you got to do to make that situation work.”

2021-22 will be a pivotal season for the Warriors. They are coming off two playoff-less campaigns, and with Klay Thompson finally returning, there's no denying that the pressure is mounting. Green brings up a very interesting point here, and it will be interesting to see how this plays out throughout the campaign.
