Former Warriors teammates Draymond Green and Kevin Durant discussed a whole bunch of false narratives during the latest edition of Durant's “The ETCs” podcast.

One such narrative included prior reports suggesting Green called Durant crying from the parking lot after the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals.

The two former Warriors teammates debunked those rumors, with Green saying he didn't even try to push back on the idea because it became so distorted upon Durant's eventual decision to sign with Golden State that summer.

Durant also denied the rumors he and Green were “hanging out” during the Conference Finals, which saw the Oklahoma City Thunder blow a 3-1 lead of their own to the Warriors.

Green went on to say he never tried to recruit Durant at any point especially during or immediately following the playoffs.

Interestingly, those initial rumors would be completely upended just over two years later, when Green and Durant were involved in an on-floor spat that led to an abundance of media speculation that Durant would leave the Warriors in the summer of 2019. The two stars addressed said incident, as well.

Green and Durant shared something of a complicated relationship. But one thing is for certain: they share a tremendous amount of respect for one another.

They also achieved quite a bit in Golden State.

Durant's decision to sign with the Warriors would see Golden State win consecutive NBA titles and reach a third straight NBA Finals in 2019, though the Warriors came up short in that series, losing to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors.

Through all the ups and downs and all the rumors, Green and Durant will forever be linked as two of the foremost stars for one of the NBA's top dynasties in league history.
