The Golden State Warriors scored a much-needed win on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls, as they marked their first victory of the new season. It was far from an impressive performance from a struggling Dubs side, however, and for his part, Warriors forward Draymond Green provided some valuable insight on what he believes his team needs to do to improve moving forward.

Speaking to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, Green broke down the steps the new-look Warriors must take in order to become a much better squad:

As Green expressed above, the myriad of changes the Warriors have implemented during the offseason (and in the past year as well) resulted in the squad losing most of its chemistry. They remain to be a work-in-progress, and for his part, Green understands that the changes they want won't happen overnight.

Green repeatedly mentioned how Golden State has now lost the “read-and-react” offense they once had, which was a key part of what made the Dubs an extremely dangerous side a couple of years ago. With the Warriors' core still intact, and with Steve Kerr still at the helm, this is still something this current lineup can achieve — but it's clearly not going to be a walk in the park.

Draymond Green has yet to suit up for the Warriors this season, as the 30-year-old is still dealing with conditioning issues. He's already been ruled out for Golden State's matchup against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, but the former Defensive Player of the Year should be back in action sooner rather than later.
