The Golden State Warriors are 29-4 since 2016 when small forward Kevin Durant sits and point guard Stephen Curry plays.

The Warriors are going to be without Durant for the foreseeable future. However, numbers don't lie and the stats show Curry takes his game to another level when Durant is out of the lineup:

Curry is a two-time MVP for a reason. Because Durant is on the Warriors and he's arguably the best player in the game, we sometimes forget how lethal of a player and scorer Curry is. The sharpshooter stepped up in Game 5 after Durant went down with his calf injury. The Dubs will need Curry to play his best game of the playoffs in Game 6 if they want to defeat the Houston Rockets and advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Overall in the 2019 playoffs, Curry is averaging 23.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. The six-time All-Star is shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 93.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Curry, though, has struggled with his shot after suffering a dislocated left finger in Game 2. He's shooting just 39.4 percent overall and 26.5 percent from the 3-point line since Game 2. The Warriors are hoping Curry will snap out of his mini shooting slump in Game 6.
