The Golden State Warriors just keep losing players this free agency. Now, another one is heading out after Damion Lee reached a deal with the Phoenix Suns.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Lee is moving to the Suns on a one-year contract. As of writing, terms of the deal has yet to be disclosed.

While the move is not surprising, especially after it was reported previously that Lee's roster spot was in danger with new Warriors players coming in, it remains a concerning trend for the Dubs.

The Warriors don't have much money as they are already paying a lot in luxury tax. Hence, some departures are expected. Unfortunately for them, they have also lost the likes of Otto Porter Jr., Gary Payton II and Juan Toscano-Anderson.

Fortunately for the Warriors, they were able to get Kevon Looney to re-sign on a new three-year, $25.5 million deal. The Dubs made it a priority to bring him back, though it is definitely quite painful that they weren't able to retain the likes of Porter and Payton II.

As for Damion Lee, he joins a Suns team with title aspirations after being a contender for the past two seasons. The veteran guard brings some much-needed experience to Phoenix, and while he didn't get to play a lot in the 2022 playoffs, he did show flashes of brilliance throughout the 2021-22 campaign with the Dubs. Hopefully, he can show more of those games with more opportunities for the Arizona franchise.
